Common Crow
Scientific name : Euploea core
Common Crow is one of the common butterflies in the college campus. Both male and female look similar but with small changes. The upper side of the wing is dark brown and lighter towards the margins. There are spots on the wings but the bands on the inner side are always larger than the outside.
Common Crow's flight is moderately fast and males are seen aggregating at plants which provied toxins. This is a migratory species. Common Crow can be seen within the campus in dry areas depending on the vegetation to feed and search for mates.
