Greater Racket-tailed Drongo

Scientific name : Dicrurus paradiseus

Greater Racket-tailed Drongo is a medium-sized bird that is distinctive with the presence of elongated outer tail feathers with the tip being webbed. Males and females look similar in appearances. The body of Drongo is glossy black with shades of blue. The blue colour extends from the back of the reddish-brown eyes till halfway back. The wings have a ting of blue or green colour. Their calls are extremely varied and accurately mimic the calls of other birds. Greater Racket-tailed Drongo inhabits a wide variety of habitats of the college campus.
