Scientific name : Dendrocitta vagabunda
Rufous treepie is a bird of the crow family. this bird can be identified easily with a long but stiff tail. The upper body is rusty brown and the underpart is orangish in colour. The head and neck region is dull black in colour. The wings have conspicuous silver-grey with black and white patterns on the wings. the bill is a hooked tip with blackish-grey colour. This bird is seen in a wide range of habitats from woody trees, scrubby patches, single or in pairs in the treetops within the college campus.
