Red-whiskered Bulbul

Scientific name : Pycnonotus jocosus

A medium-sized songbird, the body is brown above and whitish below with a black crest and dark spur on the sides of the breast. There is a small red patch on-ear and red under tail coverts. This songbird is found within the campus in pairs or small groups in the garden. Both male and female birds look similar in plumage. These birds have seen on campus around humans, prominently perching on top of bushes and also on electrical lines.
