• Medicinal Uses:

  • Fruits are highly toxic but dried ones are used to treat indigestion, diarrhoea and haemorrhoids.

  • It is traditionally used to reduce pain, blood glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure and also to treat stomach-ache and tumour problems.

  • Dried fruits are also used as complementary medicine to treat kidney, heart problems by drinking the water extracts of the dried fruits boiled together with other medicinal plants.
